FLEET-HYDROL
is the
Australian agent for
MO-CLAMP
Self-tightening Clamp System, the
original and patented wedge-pulling
ring.
=
All items
are drop-forged for maximum strength &
durability.
=
Design
allows the wedge to turn during use,
avoiding unwanted twists and bends and
allowing a straight pull line to enhance
precision and the life of the equipment.
MO-CLAMP products are available in
three configurations:
=
“Gater” tooth
–
aggressive design for holding structural
components in areas where repair is not
visible after job completion.
=
“Horizontal” tooth
– for a
secure grip on all metal surfaces. Some
products feature an angled horizontal
tooth design.
=
“Cross-hatched” tooth
–
aggressive design for sheet metal and
lightweight components. Grips securely,
but with less deformation than with
“gater” design.
SAFETY & SERVICE TIPS
WARNING
– Never stand within two metres in any
direction of a chain under tension.
ALWAYS use secondary safety ties for the
chain.
=
Always
monitor anchor locations during a
pulling operation.
=
Watch for
separating weld seams – usually
identified by “popping” noises.
=
Remove all
grease or paint from attachment points.
=
Minimise
backlash from a loose chain or clamp,
wrap with safety chains, blankets or
tarps.
=
Never
overload equipment – see inspection
procedures below.
Clamp Maintenance
=
Keep teeth
free of dirt, grease & paint by cleaning
with a wire brush. Store on a tool board
or rack.
=
Lubricate
bolts & nuts with authorised anti-seize
compound.
=
Sharpen
teeth with a sharp triangular file.
=
Check clamp
nuts & bolts frequently, These are
always the items to wear most under
extreme loads, so tighten & replace with
authorised MO-CLAMP components as
required.
Chain Usage & Maintenance
=
ALWAYS
inspect chain prior to use. Nicks,
gouges, twists, stretching or excessive
wear are DANGER SIGNS.
=
Avoid
making sharp turns/corners that could
cause excessive strain and breakage.
=
Avoid
twists that will measurably reduce the
tensile strength.
=
Apply
smooth pressure and avoid sudden jerks
that may overload the chain.
=
DO NOT
OVERLOAD. This causes
stretching and reduces strength. If a
chain has been overloaded, inspect it
immediately and remove from service if
damaged.
